I've spent the last week getting caught up on this series. Chris O'Donnell was the original draw for me (I loved his early movies - CIRCLE OF FRIENDS, THE SCENT OF A WOMAN, FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, and even BATMAN FOREVER). This series isn't great TV, it is basically "blow 'em up - get the bad guys of the week" fare, but it's clean entertainment (no nudity or salacious pandering) and I love the main characters, their relationships, their dynamic and the cast is solid (Daniela Ruah has some pretty impressive UK theatrical training). So I watch it for the vicarious relationships. I give the whole series a 6 (fair) out of 10, with the occasional episode rocking a 7 (good), and, when I have time, I usually binge watch to catch up on their lives.
really good tv show 10/10
What a weird series! A mix of NCIS (Original), A-Team, Fast & Furious, Lethal Weapon, black humour which astonishingly works. I like it, it is very entertaining but be sure you disabled your logic and realism curcuits when watching. ;)
Season 8 doesn't makes much sense. It's like the LA division doesn't belong to NCIS at all. Nobody from the headquarters nor the director cares for the LA division. No reinforcements, no collegues that run around in the background throughout the show seems to care. NCIS LA in season 8 feels like a rural small sherif departmant. We are talking about the law enforcement for the United States Navy. This spin off used to have a good and logical story line, but now seems so unimportant.
