The mot fascinating part of the show however might be how you can see his frustration with the creative constraints and executive demands bleeding through. This is a show at war with itself, often rejoicing whenever it can shy away from the mandated moral and reacting with exasperated disdain when confronted with it. Al's never marched to the beat of anyone's drum, but The Weird Al Show is when he came closest, and watching the relatively young artist not yet a legend still trying to establish a stable foothold in the industry and chafing under it is interesting in of itself.
