i hate you so much
The first three seasons were fresh, entertaining, and timely. Later seasons are lackluster or trying too hard.
I don't really know what to say when it comes to Glee, there were some great performances with stunning choreography and groundbreaking vocal ability, especially when it came to the likes of Mercedes and Rachel. However, Glee is riddled with issues. As a character, Rachel Berry, is one of the most annoying here. Her vocal talent os amazing but she is constantly putting people down in order to catapult herself into stardom - she is never shown to be a good friend or show compassion towards others apart from a few rare occasions. The next thing, is Will Schuester, this show tried to make us like a man, that made children twerk, refused to grant a transgender kid access to private bathroom because of a petty argument with Sue, and let's not forget when he planted drugs in Finns locker to blackmail him into joining the Glee club. There were episodes that stood out to me however, such as the season 5 episodes - bash, 100, and the Quarterback. Some of my favourite performances were It's All Coming Back to Me Now, I Feel Pretty/ unpretty, No One Is Alone, I Believe on A Thing Called Love. Despite its issues Glee do handle some pretty serious topics such as grief, gaybashing, and being disowned by your family for who you are. It probably didn't need to last as long as it did but overall I'm not mad that i watched it in its entirety because I did enjoy my time whilst watching or despite its issues.
This is/was one of best shows I've ever watched. Sure, it was really stupid in certain moments, but it also tough me a lot about life and how to stick up for myself. I will never forget it.
