A public flame-out at a New York media company forces 20-something alcoholic Samantha Fink to seize the only chance she has to sober up and avoid jail time: moving back home with her overbearing mother, Carol. Back in Greater Boston, Samantha restarts her life, working at the local grocery store while surrounded by all of the triggers that made her drink in the first place.

Serie about self-centered, irresponsible, immature young woman.
Never heard of this before watching this. It's a good mix of drama and "comedy". I am not laughing while watching but it's light-hearted enough to not be exhausting while centering around alcholism. Each of the episodes deal with a different problem an alcoholic might face. This is a common approach but due to the length of the episodes (~25 minutes) usually a solution for the problem has to be reached before the end of the episodes to be able to switch the topic in the next episode. For this reason the issues feel like theyare not that important or not hard to overcome which is, I believe, not the message that the creators want to convey.
Love Sofia Black D’elia is other shows, but no so much in this one. In Mick, the other characters complemented hers and they worked to create harmony. Here, however, the supporting cast is terrible, and don’t even get me started on that Mom. Because of her, I dropped the show after episode 3. Netflix show Love does a much better exploration of the AA culture and the other subjects that the main female character is struggling with. Go watch that instead!
