New Tricks is a British comedy-drama that follows the work of the fictional Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad of the Metropolitan Police Service. Originally led by Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman, it is made up of retired police officers who have been recruited to reinvestigate unsolved crimes.

I thought this was going to be another British comedy but thought I'd give it a try. WOW was I mistaken, yes, there's some comedy (after all they're British :-) ) It was actually a good detective drama. Give it a try.
It starts off really strongly, but once the original cast start to leave it gets gradually weaker. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't become poor or anything and it remains good throughout its run.
New Tricks - ❤x7 This is a pretty good cop/procedural show. It's British, so it's heavier on the drama and the characters rather than flash and action. For me, it is the shenanigans of the old codgers and the interactions between them and their boss Sandra. I'm slowly working my way through the series a few episodes a day and am only halfway through season 7 so far. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
