Good show, with a good lead, with good animation, good pacing, and a good plot. It's good, it's just not great. The MC is solid, but he's definitely missing something. They did try to add some emotional weight by showing Captain Rose's backstory...but that was for her, not the MC. The other summoned teens really could have used some more fleshing out, their backstories were both extremely thin. Also would have been nice to get to know the other members of the rescue squad better. The MC is just looking to be useful, and yeah, he's also striving to protect his friends, but....it's hard to explain, there's just something missing. Definitely in for more of this, I'm just hoping they figure out a way to take a good show and make it great.
We better get a season two, I want to see those foreign kingdoms.

Really silly show with a stupid premise. If you get to episode 11, you'll probably understand why and then drop it.
