A story that follows two people's brave pursuit of love from their campus days to their humble beginnings as they enter the workplace to chase after their dreams together. Xia Linxi's senior year is full of radiance while Jiang Zhenghan's is in peril. Jiang Zhenghan is doing everything he can to earn money and ends up becoming the tutor of a very unwilling Xia Linxi who still hasn't forgotten their terrible first meeting. When the two felt love for the first time, it was sweet and pure. It's the kind of love that you want to profess to the world but it wasn't until after their exams that their feelings became more clear. Just as they wished, Xia Linxi and Jiang Zhenghan are admitted to the same university. From their youth to adulthood, from the school to the workplace, from a school uniform to a wedding dress, they have each other as a lifelong companion.

*Forever Love* is a drama that feels like it has more potential than it delivers. The main couple’s relationship is full of miscommunication and emotional avoidance, which makes it hard to root for them. There’s a lot of lying, hiding things, and just general emotional distance, which creates a dynamic that’s less romantic and more frustrating. The side characters also don’t help, often seeming to exist only to complicate things for the leads, and the second couple’s constant fighting and ignoring gets old fast. On the acting side, the Second Male Lead is actually the standout. He does a solid job playing a "creepy" character, and his little details, like the eye twitching, actually add a lot to his role. But unfortunately, his performance is about the only thing that stands out. The show has its moments, but overall, it feels uneven—between the underdeveloped relationships and some unrealistic elements, it doesn’t quite live up to expectations. The chemistry between the leads is decent, but it’s not enough to carry the show. It’s watchable, but not exactly memorable. 6.5/10.
A bootleg budget Lighter & Princess semi-adaptation with the violence/angst/makjang removed. Being less overdramatic, the story actually benefits in various ways, but otherwise it's basic & cheap.
