From the first line as "Stayin' Alive" plays and Monty says "The difference between me and John Travolta? The 'Fro!", this is compelling viewing. Based on the life and work of Monty Pryor (Model, DJ and Storyteller) this film/show is entertaining and educational. I know of some of the racial crime our people have inflicted on the native owners of this land, but this gives a new perspective with a few comic twists. I didn't realise that even in the 60's, and presumably later, police would break up corroborees and other 'blackfella business' (quoting the film/show here) because literally, it was part of their job. This is entertaining, informative and sad, with some dark elements of humour even then.
