Damn shame it got cancelled, not often does one get to see something different from run-off-the-mill Hollywood bull. Fortunately, there are books, so at least I'll know what happens next that way :) Edit: Reading the third book of the trilogy now. I liked the series well enough, but the books are at least an order of magnitude better. Highly recommend!

I don’t know what I just watched, it wasn’t that great. Maybe this show is for others based on all the positive reviews but not for me. Maybe because I don’t understand Canadian history? Or maybe because they use low quality actors, poor deliver of lines, too slow of a pacing, and the awful actress that played the mother (they gave her too much screen time). Maybe if it had better actors & script, I would’ve enjoyed it more. I would skip this show unless you’re Canadian & understand the native history.

I liked it overall. I agree with some of the actor/dialog/direction comments. It honestly felt a bit like a good web series production, but this added to the mystique IMO. Def enjoyed the lore in the tale.
