On his way home from drinking his sorrows away after being rejected by his crush, 26 year old salaryman Yoshida finds a high school girl named Sayu sitting on the side of the road and ends up letting her stay at his place overnight. Not having the heart to put the runaway out on the streets, Yoshida allows her to stay at his place... And so began the awkward, irritable, and slightly heartwarming relationship between a runaway high school girl and a salaryman living together.

The first few episodes gave me high hopes for this anime to tell a mature, platonic story. Unfortunately, it developed exactly into the creepy grooming portrayed as wholesome love that I hoped it would avoid and condemn. The amount of people praising this anime and its protagonist for their "moral compass", ignoring that he's falling in love with a teenage girl and happily cuddling with her in the room next to her mother and brother, is honestly pretty worrying to me. I also HATE how they "resolved" the other big plot point,
the situation with her mom. Both Yoshida and Sayu's brother knew that the mother is abusive and has massive mental health issues, and the best they can do is say "deal with it" to both the mom and Sayu? Sorry, but that's probably the worst thing they could do in this situation.
Overall I enjoyed the animation and most of the writing, but I really disagree morally with the development of both major story arcs.
Super cringey show with a nice plot. It was entertaining but it'd have been better if it's a bit more realistic. Overall I enjoyed the show for what it is.
I watched a lot of anime and tv shows, but none have made me cry like this one as a guy. always could stop myself. I really felt the story, would be surprised if it's based on a true story. really enjoyed it.
Again I need some to recover.
