Migdol Mucha

Acting

Migdol Mucha was part of the tradition of Wanka (Huanca) folk music from Peru's Mantaro Valley and belonged to the generation of saxophonist-composers that helped shape the repertoire of the region's traditional orchestras. Musicological studies and concert programs from the Universidad Nacional de Música identify him as the composer of works for saxophone that remain part of the standard repertoire.

One of his best-known compositions is:

"Amor mío", a piece that has been arranged for saxophone quartet and performed by the Universidad Nacional de Música's Saxophone Quartet.
