Duncan Ragg is an award-winning writer, director, actor and producer based regionally on Dharawal Country.

Having worked as a theatre artist for many years, his first short film Theo & Celeste garnered 80,000 views in a week on Vimeo. He has since written the award-winning anthology series Liberty Street (MIFF), the feature film Unraveling (Cinefest Oz, BIFF), as well as inclusively made shorts +One, Over, Mine Mine Mine, I’ve Got You, and Fences. In 2025 his short film Over won Best Comedy at Flickerfest, whilst his previous films have featured and won awards at dozens of festivals around the world, including SXSW Sydney, MIFF, Flickerfest, St Kilda, Vancouver, Birmingham, Virginia, Edmonton, Just For Laughs and many more.

Duncan is a proud advocate for greater representation of people with disability in the screen sector and is the co-Artistic Director of The Corinthian Food Store, an Artistic Associate at Midnight Feast and an experienced facilitator with Bus Stop Films. He was Assistant Director to Judy Davis on the multi-award winning Faith Healer and The Dance of Death (Belvoir) and in 2019 shadowed world-renowned theatre director Robert Wilson on the creation of his new work Mary Said What She Said at the Theatre de la Ville, starring Isabelle Huppert.
