A casual family story. Nothing special happens... But that's the charm, they weren't trying to tell some dramatic story. Enjoyable watch for a casual view.
Absolutely NOTHING happens. There's about 6 characters in total, none of which have any background story, no character development or anything. I didn't feel a single second of interest or emotion in this. I feel like the storyline was bland as hell, as was the acting, the script was obviously written by someone with 0 imagination and who has never watched a film. I'm not being over-dramatic, I watch a LOT of movies and this was the blandest I have seen. The only thing I enjoyed was Leo's screen-time and his growing relationship with his aunt (that should have gone somewhere but didn't-much like the whole of the film) That's two hours of my life I won't be getting back.
This movie is carried by the performances more than anything else. The story is pretty simple, but the family drama feels genuine and has a lot of quiet emotional moments.
★★★☆☆ (3/5) A quiet, character-focused family drama built around reconciliation and long-held resentments. The story unfolds gently, prioritizing emotional conversations over big dramatic moments. The performances are strong across the board, grounding the film in sincerity. While it can feel subdued and slightly uneven in pacing, its themes of forgiveness and responsibility give it heartfelt weight.
