How far would you go to prove you're not a nobody?
Streetwise but down-on-his-luck, Clarence is struggling to find a better life for his family, while fighting to free himself of debt. Captivated by the power and glory of the rising Messiah and His apostles, he risks everything to carve his own path to a divine life, and ultimately discovers that the redemptive power of belief may be his only way out.

The funniest part of the whole project is how the character created to make fun of the "white Jesus" trope still looks far closer to what historical Jesus would have appeared like, than does anyone else in the movie, including their "real Jesus".
I thoroughly enjoyed this film.
I honestly don't have a clue what this is. The genre confuses me, the story confuses me, the acting confuses me, the design confuses me, and the cast confuses me. I felt so relieved when it finished. The only thing I know for sure is that they took risks making this. The best thing about this for me was the cinematography and soundtrack. Other than that, it's meaningless to me.
What was this supposed to be? It's certainly not a ha-ha comedy. It's not a drama. It's not even a dramedy. It feels like an epic from the 50s, yet not grandiose in any way. Most of the scenes feel like an acting audition for a college play rather than a film. An interesting concept that doesn't do anything for me. Watchable only if youre stick on an airplane or at a doctor's office.
