Ah, good old 80s action cinema - tough guys, big guns, cool quotes, explosions and a wee bit of a story. But that´s OK. That was the recipe for success back then.
Solid 80s buddy cop movie. Funny back-and-forth, one-liners, etc that mark the genre. It hasn't aged particularly well as you'd expect. Both Stallone and Russell are good. Stallone playing way against type at that time in his career. It was a good move for him. It had the potential for becoming a Lethal Weapon-style franchise but was just a year or so late coming to the table. Now 6.25/10 Then 7.25/10
Rewatched this to make my copy was good to go for next week's tvT get together. No need to explain here in detail why this movie is so awesome, I think we all know it's a must watch. So do that. Then go listen to the Flop House episode on it and then the HDTGM on it. Although the HDTGM team dud not love it as much as they should have.
A cool buddy-cop-action-thriller-comedy with two of the coolest guys of the 1980s in their element. Great entertainment where no thinking is required. Just enjoy.
"Why is mine smaller than yours?" "Genetics, Peewee."
