A Soldier's journey to keep a promise
Four friends from a sleepy little village in Punjab share a common dream: to go to England. Their problem is that they have neither the visa nor the ticket. A soldier alights from a train one day, and their lives change. He gives them a soldier's promise: He will take them to the land of their dreams. What follows is a hilarious and heartwarming tale of a perilous journey through the desert and the sea, but most crucially through the hinterlands of their mind.

really crazy shit. 1st half js still light comedy but 2ns half is totally stupidity not worthy
Through this movie, SRK and Raju Hirani were competing who could give their worst performance ever. The only good thing about this movie was Vicky Kaushal.
Dunki is amazing to watch. After a long time, a family movie with fun. King Khan is amazing
It hits very very hard....
I thought it’ll be more emotional, more grounded… but it keeps switching tones. It starts light, almost comedic, then suddenly goes serious, then back again. You get what it’s trying to do, show the journey, the struggle, the cost, but that constant shift makes it harder to stay fully invested. The core idea works though. That desperation to leave, the risks people take, it comes through in parts, especially in the second half. Some moments hit, genuinely, but others feel too convenient, like the film is guiding you instead of letting things happen. You’re with it in bits, just not completely throughout.
