Synopsis
Daikichi learns that his recently deceased grandfather has an illegitimate daughter with an unknown mother. The girl's name is Rin and she is just 6 years old. Everybody in Daikichi's family looks at the girl as an embarrassment and wants no part of her. Daikichi, annoyed by his family's attitude, decides to raise Rin by himself. Even though Daikichi himself has no experience raising a child and is still single.

Aside from some anime-inspired(?) over the top silliness is this a quite good movie about the relationship and the hardships of an unexpected "father" and his "daughter".

A live-action and an anime with an adult theme and a plot taken seriously make Usagi Drop enter the list. Due to the decriminalization of the genre (Moe) by the Otakus themselves, many people did not see and did not even want to know about the existence of this anime and the live-action; that is why it had a low revenue and its series was canceled.
