Laugh, or I’ll blow your lips off...
Juliet Forrest is convinced that the reported death of her father in a mountain car crash was no accident. Her father was a prominent cheese scientist working on a secret recipe. To prove it was murder, she enlists the services of private eye Rigby Reardon. He finds a slip of paper containing a list of people who are 'The Friends and Enemies of Carlotta'.

This was horribly misogynistic and not very funny. It was interesting how they incorporated scenes from famous noir films, but other than that, there really wasn't anything here to rave about. It's most notable achievement was that it was Edith Head's final film before her death.
I wouldn't exactly say it was a great movie, but the blending of the old and the retro made for a really cool kind of unique feel. Steve Martin was funny as usual in his kind of way and although not really that good in the plot and what not the rest of the movie really made up for it.
So long doll face. Just dont say cleaning.... woman. Brilliant neo noirs mixed with humor and old time scenes intercut with the film. It's not Martin's best, but it's so unique and niche, it doesn't even matter
