Synopsis
After breaking up with her girlfriend, a nightclub singer, Jane, answers a personal ad from Robin, a real estate agent with AIDS, seeking a cross-country travel partner. On their journey from New York City to Los Angeles, the two stop by Pittsburgh to pick up Jane's friend Holly, who is trying to escape an abusive relationship. With three distinct personalities, the women must overcome their differences to help one another.

This is one of my all time favourite movies. I’d forgotten how good this was. Such a great, moving, loving story about the unexpected bonds between women. Mary-Louise Parker can do no wrong in my books. This role and her character in FRIED GREEN TOMATOES has earned her my deepest respect as an actor. Whoppi Goldberg was magical. Such a good movie. I’ve worn out the VHS tape (that how we “streamed” in the good old days, kids). As one of my TOP MOVIES, I give this film a 10 (perfect) out of 10.

7.5/10 Rating - Tearjerker with a predictable plot that seems like it should be based on a Jodi Picoult novel. The strength of performances and offbeat humour makes it worth watching once though. It will make you weep and if I ever want a cry, I might rewatch but probably not.

I really enjoyed this movie. oldie but a real dam goodie. my first time watching this. loved the fun, the bonds, the friendships, the love. pure.
