Way too long. I’m sure there are at least a couple of amusing shorts hidden in its nearly three hours. There’s satire and dread across different timelines and layers of interpretation, but the film runs out of things to say quickly, never reaching a depth of insight able to justify its length and repetitiveness.

A film so accurate that I think if you immerse yourself in it you will end up feeling as deflated and exhausted as the protagonists. Or maybe you already do. Why do people enjoy confirmation, a mirroring, of the world as nihilistic and full of cynicism? Is there any comfort at all. I don’t really know. Personally it’s not for me.
