[7.5/10] It’s honestly surprising that anyone attempted to adapt _Tank Girl_ into a movie, but I love how it was done! It was the right place and time for it, for sure. I can’t imagine anyone but Lori Petty in the role. And it’s rare for such an unhinged character to be so likeable, but she absolutely pulls it off. I enjoyed Naomi Watts as Jet Girl, too. The sets, costumes, and effects were so fun, and sometimes weird. It really felt like the filmmakers successfully brought their vision to life! The story itself isn’t particularly unique underneath the camp, but it’s hard for me to find anything to actually dislike. I can see why it’s a cult classic, and I can also see why it wouldn’t be for everyone. Glad I could finally watch it all the way through! I would love to watch it again with a friend.

This is underrated fr. Lori Petty was on something else here. Killer soundtrack, love the comic book interludes, camp af vibe, unapologetically queer and a grim portent of the very decade in which it's set. Good pairing with Starship Troopers methinks.

Made in the '90s, and it shows - that's a compliment. _Tank Girl_ is a sci-fi, action, comedy set in a dystopian future of 2033 - yikes, that's not too far away. Our protagonist is a wildcard of mid-90s punk/grunge. This has one of the best soundtracks, featuring: Bush, Veruca Salt, Portishead, Björk, and Hole, just to name a few. This is a bonkers cult movie, and the best way I could describe it would be a punk rock _Return of the Jedi_ (1983). If it's still not clear, think about it this way: _Tank Girl_ walked, so _The Fifth Element_ (1997) could run. Recommended for '90s nostalgia. Lots of fun. Completely unhinged. "Two dollars and fifteen cents!"

It's a little off here and there due to some occasionally awkward editing or pacing, but that is easily overshadowed by Lori Petty's awesome character, quirky sense of humour, the comic book style cuts, and once again Lori Petty's awesome character. Each little scene without her just made me want her. :D
