It's not too bad of a show, [spoiler]it definitely slowly reminded me of Elise from Insidious. The one thing i didn't like bout the main actress is how she always have that same spooked face whenever she sees a ghost, She's also like, very slow in everything she does, she speaks slow, she walks slow, she got spooked slow/reactions are slow. At some point, when I can tell a ghost is appearing, I already cued her spooky face reaction. The ending which gets me the most is, if the ghost can protect the girl by moving cabinets, stabbing the mom with a knife and eventually at the end kill the mother, why did it not do it in the first place? Why did it have to appear to Claire, to show her the truth only to let her get stabbed, have her beg the ghost to help and then the ghost killed the mom? If it did it straight from the start then this 2 hrs show would've ended way earlier or had a different ending XD So yea, that kinda didn't make sense to me because the ghost was already capable in hurting the mom, it's not like she needed help because it was bound away by some priest but it reached out to Claire only to have to do it herself because Claire was injured. [/spoiler] Overall, it's worth a watch and it does have some jump scare moments but storyline wise, it could've been better.

Decent supernatural horror with great performances and minimal yet effective score. The story in this is simply fantastic and it really takes you on an emotional ride as it reaches its end. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a higher rating is the slow pace. Seriously though, the long unnecessary pauses between every dialogue and the slow talking kill me slowly and painfully. Some work effectively and create good tension since the score is minimal, but I think most of them are very unnecessary. Overall it's a good watch and I'd still recommend it.

I believe the director took the term "slow burn" a little too far. Very atmospheric but if the dialogue had been sped up to normal conversation speed this may have saved about 20 minutes of viewing time and not put the audience to sleep. Good movie once you push through the doldrum.

While I generally enjoy supernatural movies, I felt that this particular film could have been condensed into a shorter runtime. Some scenes seemed unnecessary, but overall, it was a decent movie.

Yet another crude allegory for the pain and grieving that comes with loss, They Live in the Grey tries to be both a heartfelt drama and a spooky horror movie at the same time and fails at both. It's not awful - performances are excellent all around and the score is nice - but the characters' are unconvincing and the storytelling is unfocused. While some of the visual metaphors are really well done and Claire has a good, if unsatisfying, character arc, these features are held back by the sluggish plot that doesn't seem to know when to quit and an ending that is self-serving and unjustified.
