Synopsis
At night the Mangler stalks the streets of Los Angeles, killing and mutilating random victims. On the trail are a TV reporter, the father of one of the victims, and a police detective, but despite their efforts only the mysterious psychic DeRenzy knows what the killer is and how to stop it.

William Devane stars as an old hippie and Cathy Lee Crosby as a spunky reporter that's hot on the trail of a serial killer, except that the killer is an alien who shoots lasers from his eyes and blows people up. It's even worse than it sounds. I could rate it lower, but I'm sometimes nostalgic for Cathy Lee Crosby. She was a minor-league pin-up girl during my formative years. Also, this has one of the coolest movie posters I've ever seen.
