A relatively innocuous jab at the demoralization of American society, this movie uses the Salem witch trials as the medium to make it's point though far less subtly than Arthur Miller's _The Crucible_. It is a comedy more in the Mel Brooks school rather than National Lampoons. If released today, I don't think it would even come close to earning an R rating. The cast is a nostalgic recollection of 80's entertainment with Dave Thomas(Bob and Doug Mckenzie),David Graf(Tackleberry from _Police Academy_),Anne Ramsey(_Throw Momma From the Train_ and _Goonies_) plus several others. Kelly Preston also stars in her standard role from the 80's prior to breaking the mold in _Twins_. Dont expect too much and you will get through watching this.
