So sad Debbie Reynolds passed away today, bother gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds can be dancing in heaven now..both amazing actors... Will both be sadly mised

Whether you like musicals or not, Singin' in the Rain is a musical classic that should be enjoyed by everyone Here is my quick review: [Like] + Beautiful and Memorable Choreography: Keep an eye out to the Magical "Singin' in the Rain" and the Acrobatic "Make them Laugh" section + Superb performance and chemistry between the cast (Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor, Debbie Reynolds, and Jean Hagen) + Music and score are pure ear candy + Brings forward the idea of when Hollywood was transitioning from Silent Movies to Talkies + Considered by many as the best Hollywood musical of all time + Comedy also adds to the magic of the screenplay. (The microphone scene is priceless) [Dislike] - Lina's voice ;) Plot Complexity: Easy to comprehend Best Movie Quote: Lina. She can't act, she can't sing, she can't dance. A triple threat.

It's now been 2 months since I've seen this movie. I still think about this movie almost everyday. The epitome of a genuinely fun and enjoyable film. I don't even like musicals like that. This is an absolute must watch though. The musical and dance numbers are so joyful and spontaneous, you can't help but bob your head along. The characters have so much personality they just pop out of the screen. Especially the romance between Don and Kathy. It's obviously fantastical in nature but you can't help but hope they succeed and flourish. Both in career and relationship. Cosmo is an elite 3rd wheel too. He's quick with the one liners, crazy athleticism, and on screen charm that's up there with the greats. He really could've been a Robin/Nightwing casting in another life. Jean Hagen held it down as the vengeful ex. Real evil stuff, that was actually getting me mad. This is the perfect palette cleanser after watching dozens of dull movies from this decade. It's so full of life on every level it would probably kill most modern watchers lol. Visually it's incredibly vibrant, from the clothes, to the city, and all the way to the movie sets. An absolute treat on all of your senses. Do yourself a favor and watch this the next chance you can. Preferably while it's raining outside.
