This honestly just didn't really work for me. I think I get what it's going for, but it was more exhausting than fun to watch. The plot itself didn't really hold together, and combined with everything else—the constant jumping from one scene or idea to the next—it all just feels very forced. The movie's constantly trying to be funny, instead of letting anything breathe. The humor is extremely silly and over-the-top, which is not bad, but after a while, it was just too much for me. By the time it was over, my head was sort of full, and I definitely needed a break afterward. What I did like were the musical moments in between. Those parts felt a lot lighter and more relaxed, and honestly they were the only times when the film really slowed down and became enjoyable for me. You can tell this fits into that whole 60s beach movie vibe with young people, music, and a very loose sense of structure, but as a whole, it just didn't click for me. I didn't hate it, but it felt messy, loud, and kind of tiring to sit through. Not really my thing, even though I can see why people might enjoy it.
