In the heat of the summer of 1976, drama teacher Vivienne fights sweltering heat and general teenage apathy to put on an end-of-term version of Shakespeare's The Tempest.

This definitely isn't your typical musical. The musical portions are from a performance they're putting on and not necessarily part of the movie itself as in most musicals. And there is really no plot. The movie is just random glimpses at the characters personal lives with nothing connecting them except the fact that they're all part of the production. And the problem is that each scene is so brief and apparently random that I found myself bored halfway through because you never get a chance to really connect with any if the characters.
