Like someone dropping new pieces on a cool puzzle you've just finished. This Romanian film about a young novice who escapes the convent and lands in hell is an 8 if you leave when the detective washes his face in the river and a 7 if you stay till the end. Miracol / Miracle is a very well put together detective film with clever writing, a strong cast and skilled directing that goes off the rails in the final 10 minutes where much of the good that was done before comes undone. Thank God everything before it was so exquisite that I could still leave the theater with a smile on my face. TW: rape
