Holy guacamole is this sleazy! Don't Open Till Christmas feels like it's trying to be the holiday version of Maniac with its seedy London backdrop and focus on a traumatized killer, only it's not nearly as compelling or deliberately irreverent as it wanted to be.

I waited till Christmas to watch it so do I get to live?? Basically what would happen if *The Grinch* was a horror movie, the killer will murder anyone who dares to wear a Santa costume (and everyone does in this town, of course). Loved the spinning camerawork in the first scene. The intro sequence with the burning Santa; perfect. A great score. The killer is very creepy with the mask, lots of kills but very simplistic, probably more "Ti-Ti" than kills, trash effects, boring forgettable characters, dumb dialogue, cool sets and Christmas mean spirited. It's a Giallo so there's a mystery—it was lame.
