Jeff Bridges lifts this “inside the Hollywood system” story above average. It tells the story of his character who encounters about all hurdles a person looking for success in 1930s Hollywood can encounter and he keep on going. Although the story looses at times its momentum by jumping into less relevant sidelines, it is generally entertaining and a good watch. The fact that it does not take itself too seriously helps to make it good. Just enjoy.
