School's out for summer.
It's summertime, and Greg Heffley is looking forward to playing video games and spending time with his friends. However, Greg's dad has other plans: He's decided that some father-son bonding time is in order. Desperate to prevent his dad from ruining summer vacation, Greg pretends he has a job at a ritzy country club. But Greg's plan backfires, leaving him in the middle of embarrassing mishaps and a camping trip gone wrong.

A good third movie to the series as it follows the kids during the summer and does a nice job of showing the further development of Roderick and Greg's relationship as well as the further development of the Holly character. Like the other films, it's a funny, fun and sweet family movie.
The movies are getting better the more sequels they make.
Pretty much the last film we get to see most of the original cast. Same thing with Rodrick Rules and first DOTWK, good performance from actors especially Zachary Gordon, score of Edward Shearmur like last film is alright, music here are good, but some of gags and pacing sort of threw me off. While it does combine parts of Last Straw with Dog Days so half time I view it more as a Last Straw film than Dog Days. I probably prefer this film over the novel despite its own problems.
This is basically challengers. They did the plot first.
nostalgic but stupid iconic at times
