No women. No revolution.
To avoid a forced marriage, 19-year-old Hala finds refuge across the Euphrates River in northeastern Syria at a military academy where, while learning to fight, she vows to fight to free all women.

[DOK.fest] Hala has only one goal: to free her sisters from a family that subjects them to forced marriages. Hala represents women who are capable of using power to combat injustice: "I will keep fighting until my sisters are with me." Minbij's liberation from ISIS was also a liberation for some women. "They took off their burkas and revealed colorful dresses." It's a movie about taking power with your emotions.
