Synopsis
Korea, 1645 - Joseon Dynasty: a partially blind and gifted acupuncturist, Gyeong-su, is invited to work alongside the royal physician in the palace of King Injo, just before the crown prince Sohyeon returns after having been held captive by the Qing Dynasty. Prince Sohyeon and his father begin to differ in opinion on the future direction of their dynasty, leading King Injo to suffer from severe anxiety and paranoia. One night, Gyeong-su witnesses prince Sohyeon's death. Disbelieved as a witness on account of his blindness, Gyeong-su must struggle to reveal the truth while not falling prey to the power-hungry conspirators of the palace.

The unsolved mystery of the death of Crown Prince So-hyun in 1645, which was officially attributed to illness but there are rumors that it could have been due to poisoning, serves debutant director Tae Jin Ahn to create a fictional story that takes as its premise major real-life events during the Joseon Dynasty in the 17th century. The film thus consolidates as a medieval political thriller that benefits from good directing and solid writing that develops characters with a historical background to include them in a fictional story.

The doctor's assistant hides that he is not completely blind, he needs to make a career to save his brother. He does not know that he was not taken to the palace out of sympathy. The prince returns from captivity right into the clutches of the conspirators and a blind witness will not interfere with the poisoning. How to proceed? Not a thriller, but a drama. Everyone's hats are strictly ranked, cool!
