Captivating, Unhurried, Arresting Salute is a riveting and captivating crime mystery thriller that scores high due to Sanjay-Bobby's impeccable writing and narration. Dulquer's subtle charm is imposing and his restrained performance is admirable. Jakes Bejoy's enthralling score is a bonus. Salute is a slow-burning, unconventional mystery that rides on the skillfully executed screenplay and may not appeal to them looking for a massy cop movie. Overall, Dulquer's latest cop drama keeps you engaged despite its slow movement and sets a bar for cop thrillers with its display of fine police procedural. Malayalam Cinema never tends to disappoint. I watched Salute with zero expectations and was pleasantly surprised to see Dulquer's mature and resolute performance as a Cop. He knows his fate, yet he is filled with guilt for putting an innocent behind the bars. What a fine actor. The writing is masterful and didn't let me take my eyes off. A slow one but gladly not an unhurried product. The mystery takes time to settle and sink before you can taste the thrill of it. A smart thriller which for me is good enough.
