Well, it's higher quality than the original 'JitB' but somehow it's far more boring...
Didn't watch the first one but figured i'd just watch part 2 and it was just ehhhh. A typical horror/monster movie with a typical plot.
Janet's scar across her face was hilarious to me because it was protruding too much to even look like a real scar/slashed face. Could've definitely done better with a better gory make up artist and also more gore.
Jack is summoned once again but this time he comes to grant a wish. I think this one is better than the first film. With better script, better scares, slightly better performances, and the emotional parts are actually working even though it's still trying to be way too dramatic in some parts. It's a bit predictable and pretty slow but not necessarily boring. The kills are subpar but still effective and there are moments of genuine creepiness. It could've done with more gore and suspense but overall it's entertaining.
Bigger budgeted sequel. The plot is a fairly generic 'deal with the devil for life' but I enjoyed the setting and the film has some solid tension. I think it may be better than the first film actually. JitB is turning into a promising franchise.
