Inspired by the true world war II story.
During World War II, enemy fighter pilots find themselves face to face after shooting down one another's planes over a desolate landscape. In order to survive, they must set aside the rules of war.

Though a bit sentimental, I liked this very much actually.
A human and heartwarming story about enemies becoming friends after getting to know each other. The story is based on real events though with a lot of artistic freedom. The base story is though interesting and one can learn something from it. There are other movies of the same kind out there that are great too like “Enemy Mine (1985)” or “Joyeux Noel (2005)” that are equally good, the latter also being base don true events. Anyway, it is good entertainment with decent acting performances.
Amazing scenery and a decent concept carry the movie, but the unrealistic characterization holds it back from being great.
When you’re stuck in remote cabin with the enemy and they are armed and you aren’t, you don’t act like a dipshit, otherwise you’ll get shot. And also, regardless how desperately you need firewood, don’t chop down the main support post in the middle of the structure
