the whole deal with the devil thing wasn't as prevalent or otherwise consequential to the movie as i had expected overall. what horror elements that are here are great though with this being such a pretty and moody thing overall. even the voiceover that i originally thought i wasn't into ended up winning me over by the end. plays as something along the lines of one of the tamer (but still pleasant) Twilight Zone episodes, of which i'm discovering there's a shit ton of as i slowly chip away at those elsewhere lmao.
