genuinely in love with this movie almost top to bottom? incredible city setting, unforgettable people/characters throughout (with a fucking Stacked cast and set of performances), the emotional impact of being smacked with a sledgehammer, and so forth. in a roundabout way this kinda felt like a more grounded, queer version of Fessenden's Habit in terms of personal references which all but explains my affection tbh. Charlie as a character is the most I've identified with someone in a movie probably all year whether it was his interactions with his upstairs neighbors making me scream or in the serious moments. Dan Futterman (who did the screenplay for Capote after this???) is also deeply hot which didn't hurt anything either. will be thinking about this for so long.
