Faces is a great title, as this movie gave Les Miserables a run for its money on prevalence of extreme closeups. I appreciated the independent spirit here and there was a loose, improvisational vibe to the whole thing that was fascinating. But it's a hard watch and not particularly pleasant to spend time with these characters, in the same way it's not fun to be the only sober person at a party where everybody gets wasted.
