In a desolate world following the nuclear apocalypse, a scholar helps a small group of adults and children survive in the basement of a former museum of history. In his mind, he writes letters to his only son that will never be read and tries to find shreds of hope in his new reality.

Starts off really slow--don't watch this while you're tired unless you're trying to fall asleep. But ultimately Dead Man's Letters a fair portrait of humanity in the face of destruction, and a poignant warning against the use of nuclear weapons.
It's hard to find some hope in a post apocalyptic world, almost impossible...
