A group of girls from a humble little town in the middle of the desert disappears systematically without the police or the authorities taking action on the matter. Families desperately seek help, but are faced with bureaucracy, discrimination and total abandonment.

[HuelvaFF'21] The representation of the women who dance the "diablada" in a procession that leads them to the death, models a story based on real disappearances of young women. The masks also reflect the anonymity of the victims and the indifference of the police. The film builds an arid place that is also dry in the expressions of the mothers, sunk in a futile search that reveals machismo and lack of solidarity.
