Some secrets should stay buried.
Set in the last days of World War II, a small band of Russian soldiers led by intelligence officer Brana Vasilyeva, who is tasked with trafficking the remains of Hitler back to Stalin in Russia. En route, the unit is attacked by German ‘Werewolf’ partisans and picked off one-by-one. Brana leads her surviving comrades in a last stand to ensure their ‘cargo’ doesn’t fall into the hands of those who would see it buried in order to hide the truth forever.

The acting is terrible. The lead female character is supposed to be a Russian intelligence operative. I don’t think she has fired a gun in her life. 😂
It was a decent re-imagining of historical events.
After an aggressively good start, I just can't place why this movie didn't connect with me. Is it the performances, the story, the setting? Something's just not aligning and I'm struggling to stay engaged but I can't quite narrow down why. There's obviously an all too relevant critique of misinformation, narrative shaping and believing what you want to believe in here, but I feel it falls a little hollow on top of the somewhat amateur acting chops and mediocre production values. A shame really, because I was looking forward to this one for quite a while.
