**Pros:** The Stolen Airship is a very visually impressive movie, especially given the time it was created in. It uses a mixture of live action and animated sections, often combining them into one scene. For a lot of these effects, I have no idea how they were pulled off, let alone in 1960s communist Czechia. The movie is also hilarious, with a lot of funny jokes throughout. It has a lot of slapstick humor and it doesn't it take itself too seriously. At one point, [spoiler]one of the kids falls off a cliff while climbing, which should've absolutely killed him, but instead he walks off unscathed.[/spoiler] But it's not just low brow humor, there's also plenty of jokes that poke fun at the justice system, businessmen and journalists and in doing so provide commentary on those sectors problems. The jokes I found the funniest were how [spoiler]quick the kids were to resort to violence and commit crimes, their instinct to escape from a police officer was to bash him in the head and to immediately steal the titular airship once they were told to get off.[/spoiler] **Neutral:** The plot made sense for the most part, with [spoiler]the trial in which the parents are held accountable for their children's actions and then the military and bad guys trying to get the airship, so they could learn the formula to create the inflammable gas.[/spoiler] However there were other aspects that weren't explained nearly as well, the main one being the ship that strands onto the island. It comes out of nowhere and just so happens to have a mutiny that the main cast has to deal with. It would've made more sense for Agent 13 trying to get the inflammable gas formula to be the main villain. The plot point that made the least sense was [spoiler]that once the kids get saved by the military vessel they are awarded medals for saving the ship I guess. But they should be treated like the criminals that they are. They stole and damaged private property.[/spoiler] It doesn't help that the [spoiler]trial[/spoiler] plotline seemingly just ended at one point throughout the movie and wasn't given a proper resolution.
