A fine picture, anchored by Roco's sensitive portrayal of Madiaga, a boy who comes to Manila to find a girl and is forced to make ends meet in a brutal city. It's exploitative and I feel like I've seen this movie before, but I did love the performances and the movie makes some surprising choices that worked out well.
