Comparisons can obviously be made to Sound of Metal but this is also a story of cultural heritage as well as disability drama. Ahmed is superb, as usual.
[AtlàntidaFF] In a way, "Mogul Mowgli" works as the B-side of the album "The long goodbye" (2020), by Riz Ahmed. While the music denounces the racism of British society, the film addresses second-generation young people themselves, the internal struggle between their British upbringing and their Pakistani origins. Disease is a metaphor, perhaps too obvious, for this "body that does not recognize itself."
