To escape the crisis in Venezuela, and his alcoholism, Roque retreats into the Amazon jungle to renovate a cabin he built during happier times. He struggles with feverish visions caused by alcohol abstinence, and his desire for redemption becomes distorted when he joins old friends to work in an illegal gold mine controlled by Colombian guerrillas. The violence required to work in the mine plunges Roque into a cycle of self-destruction that devours his interior. He will need the fortitude to get out and start anew.

[FICX] A trip to the interior of the jungle that is also an introspective journey, walking between alcohol addiction and a certain isolation of the protagonist. This journey, this constant struggle, is the reflection of Venezuela (the shadow of Chaves is also present). With an image of great beauty, a cinematography that captures the chiaroscuro of the Amazon, we also understand that it is a personal journey of the actor-father, whose catharsis is reflected in the documentary-making of "The father plays himself" (Mo Scarpelli , 2020).
