I never liked your goofy lil asses ruinin good ass songs long before ruining movies
Was cute and decent enough for one movie but 4 movies ?
A chaotic fever dream of a movie that somehow exists in the liminal space between kids’ entertainment and surrealist parody. The chipmunk voices are aggressively annoying, but that almost feels intentional. The plot is nonsensical and barebones, and the CGI is weirdly cursed, but there’s a weird charm in how unhinged it all feels. It’s not good, but it’s fascinating in the way that a bad dream is.
One day, a guy woke up and said to himself, "singing chipmunks!" I know it is a brain-rot movie, I just can't prove it yet. It brings on some sense of warmth and I cannot imagine how idiotic those actors must have felt, looking blankly ahead for 100% of the film. They ought to have remembered they were talking to chipmunks 🏻 and not wild boars. The songs actually suck, and the nutbags are actually pretty annoying. There is no plot, the production is meagre, and the movie is cringey, but I like it, and I am going to watch the remaining three.
This is a 60 million dollar movie about singing chipmunks (and it made a profit!!). Felt long and needed more adventure. Singing cacophony.
