Not that it matters, but most of it is true.

Boy, I got vision, and the rest of the world wears bifocals
A very good western. Paul Newman and Robert Redford have great chemistry and I could watch them rob banks all day. The music is great too. I always think of Spider-man 2 when I hear Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head but I had no idea this is what it was made for. It is a little slow in the first half, the chase feels like it takes forever.
Here we've got a nice old western where our protagonists are robbers and murderers. But hey, they're so damn fun to watch. Honestly, the biggest upside to this movie is that Paul Newman and Robert Redford are both great in their performances. These two form a duo that is always entertaining. My issue though, is that we get a lot of boring, or at least too long, scenes in the first half. Things do pick up a lot more once they go to Bolivia. Just make sure you go into this for the pair's dialogue and you'll probably enjoy yourself.
I don't like this nearly as much as most others seem to. There's something about the tone that never sits quite right--there's a 60s-era insouciance and a lightness to the pervasive comedic attempts that just feel incongruous with the genre, setting, and historical characters. Burt Bacharach's score really grates on me, and there's just little that connects with me overall--except for the wonderful, easy chemistry between the two leads. (Ross, per usual, leaves me cold.)
The movie had good jokes ngl. However, 2h runtime was too long at the end, it stretched and bored me in the latter half. Which is an issue I seemingly have with a lot movies, but still. Shot in 1969, there is also some sexism here, it's not blatant but definitely there, and some scenes were weird to watch honestly. It had a good run in the middle though, and it was pretty good at playing repetitive jokes, and thus also having memorable lines. "Who the hell are those guys?" 5.5/10
