Well done documentary. They used animated segments to show what happened to cut down on visual injuries and/or lack of real video from it. Lots of decent interviews, from visitors, employees, and designers, provide the various takes on the park and it's activities. It does a good job showcasing what the park was supposed to represent. Then it goes into how that idea for the park eventually got out of control and the unfortunate consequences when it did. Very contrasting with how careful society is today compared to the 80's.

This documentary seems to just glorify a man who didn't care at all about the kids in his community. Movie focuses on funny accidents, but sweeps under the rug the amount of people killed at the park and the amount of underage drinking at the park. Seems like they mentioned in passing 6 or 7 people who died but only talked to one family. There was no follow up on the people who were seriously injured. This would be a good topic for a true crime doc. Not sure what they were going for with this movie.

Well put together documentary on Action Park, which will be old hat to people that already know about the park (there's only so many stories you can have on a place that existed so briefly) but still intersting. I can't wait for this type of film to be made on Hard Rock Theme Park some day!!!

A great documentary but a terrifying one. As fun as the theme park must have been, it is quite shocking how it was allowed to stay open for as long as it did. Tragedies happened and as such, the fun should have stopped. I only knew of the park through the disappointing movie Action Point but this does a much better job of getting inside what it was like to be there. As somebody who thinks twice before going on any theme park ride, this was a park that I probably would have avoided growing up.

A truly American documentary about romanticizing a man and theme park that killed children. It isn’t a great mystery why that country is the mess it is.
