Like stealing your first cigarette from your aunt when you're 22: this film thinks it's tough but is really just overdramatic and silly. The hackneyed story of a girl who falls in love with a bad boy feels more like a Glee remake of _Badlands_ or Lindsay Lohan covering a Springsteen song. (That said, the cinematography is above average.)
